Begins Sept.21st, 6:30 pm
Purpose: To equip you with the knowledge of the Bible that is necessary for success, in your walk with God, and in persuading others to walk in the way.
This class will be conducted in three “blocks”
- Tools – There are useful tools for the study of Scripture: a concordance, commentaries, reading plans, your topical notes, and software programs such as e-Sword or Blue Letter Bible.
- Hermeneutics – This involves basic rules for interpreting the Bible, e.g., the rule of “context”.
- Theological Topics – There are differing views on many theological topics. We will study them with the tools and rules from the first two blocks, focusing on topics that have a practical impact on our walk with God.
If you don’t know how to study and understand the Scriptures for yourself, your theological views will be what you’ve accepted of someone else’s theology.
Those who cannot attend may access the notes and exercises online.
Completion of readings, and exercises will make the class more meaningful.
