{"id":211,"date":"2018-01-04T00:31:32","date_gmt":"2018-01-04T00:31:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/studies.gilbertofcorvallis.com\/?page_id=211"},"modified":"2018-01-05T20:12:47","modified_gmt":"2018-01-05T20:12:47","slug":"the-empty-marriage","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/studies.gilbertofcorvallis.com\/?page_id=211","title":{"rendered":"The Empty Marriage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was a certain\u00a0 man who knew from a very young age that he wanted to be married when he grew up.\u00a0 His parents had told him that marriage was a source of great joy and blessing.\u00a0 And so it happened that when he was in his mid twenties he met a nice woman at a social event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">After they had talked for a while, he asked her, &#8220;Will you marry me?&#8221;<br \/>\nA\u00a0little startled, she replied, &#8220;Ok. When do you have in mind?&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;Tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 in the courthouse.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;That&#8217;s fine&#8221; she replied.<br \/>\nBy 3:30 the next day, the Justice of the Peace had pronounced them &#8220;man and wife&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0The new groom turned to his wife, smiled, shook her hand, and said<br \/>\n&#8220;Thank you so much.\u00a0 This has been a great desire of mine.\u00a0 Goodbye.&#8221;<br \/>\nShe replied, &#8220;You&#8217;re welcome.
